The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Stanley College and is responsible for the overall corporate governance of the College.
The Academic Board is responsible for academic affairs of the College, by providing advice on, monitoring and reviewing matters related to academic governance.
The Academic Board convenes a Course Advisory Committee for all higher education disciplines to provide advice on new course proposals, applications for accreditation of new courses. External membership of this committee provides an additional measure that assists with the provision of assurance as to the quality and relevance of Stanley College’s courses. In due course, the Academic Board will also create, as appropriate and as required in the Terms of Reference: Learning and Teaching Committee, Board of Examiners, Course Review Committee, Scholarly Activities Committee, Student Appeals Committee, Student Progress Committee, and Student–Staff Consultative Committee.

On 1 July 2021, TEQSA made a decision to change the provider category in which Stanley International College Pty Ltd (Stanley) is registered from Higher Education Provider to Institute of Higher Education under the new Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 (2021 Threshold Standards).
